Remember that God allows U-Turns

April - August 2005

We left Prescott in the middle of April and headed for New Orleans to see Rick and spend a few days with him. We stayed at Bayou Segnette State Park and it was great... just south of New Orleans in Westwego.

After New Orleans, we went to Springfield, IL to spend some time with our dear friends Larry and Liz. Great pinochle games.

Then we went over towards Indianapolis to see Seth and his family for a few days. What a great family. Had to change the water pump in the trailer while we were there.

Then we stopped back by Larry's and Liz's for a few more pinochle games. Afterwards, we headed for Phoenix to pick up Cody and come to visit Chip in California. Before we got here, we were offered a job hosting at French Camp campground in the Inyo National Forest in the Eastern Sierra. We accepted and have been here all summer.

June - October 2004

We decided to make a major life change. We took a hosting job in the Prescott National Forest for the summer and decided to stay up here for the foreseeable future. It is such a beautiful place.  We are hosting at the Granite Basin Day use area in the forest and living in our travel trailer. We sold our home in Phoenix and are happy as clams up here. We have a variety of birds, two different types of squirrel, and a skunk that visits often at night.

January 2004

Got back on the 19th from a three day outing at Cave Creek Recreation Area. Wonderful and relaxing time. We hope to get out again soon...

We  got back on the 3rd from camping for 6 days and 5 nights at Buckskin Mountain State Park on the Colorado River between Parker and Lake Havasu.  Bun and I spent New Years Eve with an evening snack of shrimp and crackers.  Chip and Melanie came up on New Years day and spent two nights with us.  We had many laughs and a good time.

Bunnie had a colonoscopy procedure on the 5th and the doctor found and removed two large polyps.  We heard on the 9th that they are benign.  We thank God for that!

December 2003

We had a very nice holiday season. A quiet Christmas with family. Our granddaughter Kindee came out after Christmas and we celebrated her birthday and went to Zoolights.  Quite enjoyable.
